Docking in Moorea & Bora Bora

Where in Moorea does the Paul Gauguin dock? Is it Opohunu Bay or Cooks Bay. Where in Bora Bora does it dock

Well, it does not actually *dock* in either of these places. The Paul Gauguin anchors off the town of Vaitape in Bora Bora, and in Moorea usually moors in Cook's Bay, but sometimes in Oponohu, depending on other ships and weather.

On a 7 day cruise the only place the Paul Gauguin docks is Papeette.

The rest are all anchored and they tender you back and forth.

I was doing some research before heading down there a couple of weeks from now.

 

FYI: From Google Earth, I found the images shown below ... which happen to be the PG at anchorage at Moorea and Bora Bora (obviously taken at different times).
