Sue L Posted November 16, 2007 #2 Share Posted November 16, 2007 They will be open for breakfast around 6:30 or so and goes to about 11am, then reopen around 11:30 until late afternoon and then they reopen for dinner. You can go in as many times as you want, there is no one checking who is going in and out. You can go in and just get a snack and you can carry anything out also On sea days we would take turns leaving our pool chairs and going and getting our breakfast and eating it out on the pool deck. Pumbaamd Posted November 16, 2007 #3 Share Posted November 16, 2007 WJ is always open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Come and go as often as you like. Depending on your ship, they will close for an 1/2 hour here, or an hour there, for cleaning and re-supply. Check on board for actual hours. Also, depending on your ship, there are other venues available: Seaview Cafe, Solarium Pool Cafe, Johnny Rockets, Pizza and Deli areas. ENJOY your cruise!!! cruiserbryce Posted November 16, 2007 #4 Share Posted November 16, 2007 when we were on Vision recently one of the only disappointments was that Windjammer closed at 9pm for dinner...there was food available on the ship still but not nearly with the assortment of food...even an extra hour would make ahuge difference
cb at sea Posted November 16, 2007 #5 Share Posted November 16, 2007 Even between meals, there seems to be a little "something" still out on the buffet. We've never been stopped from dropping in to get a drink or piece of fruit, or cookie, or whatever. No one goes hungry on a cruise ship!
ontheopenseas Posted November 23, 2007 #6 Share Posted November 23, 2007 Is the food served at the buffet at dinner time similar to the food being served in the dining room? We might want to skip the dining room a couple of nights and I am hoping that we could get similar food at the buffet. If not, what types of food are served at dinner time. Is there a good variety of desserts served at the buffet? Actually, the desserts listed on the dining room menus don't seem that great to me. Maybe they taste better than they read though! Thanks for any input!

Thanks for any input! There will be some items, but not all, from the dining room also available in the Windjammer. There will also by many items in the Windjammer that are not available in the dining room. There are many more types of desserts in the Windjammer than in the dining room. We have grown tired of the all the dining room commotion and have all of our dinners in the Windjammer now.
