We will be in Cartagena

...and I have noted the prices mentioned on the boards for things

...and I believe that prices for locals versus the really inflated prices for tourists...is a pretty big difference:eek:

meaning one item can cost a tourist what is equal to a persons daily or weekly wage:eek:

How do we pay a fare rate--?

and do you pay in dollars....?/cash?

From experience--paying in cash dollars used to buy things at a far lower price than the local currency in post-soviet states for example......

and knowing what the fair going rate for something in the local currency made all the difference in say north africa

any thoughts on Cartagena?
