angie54751 Posted December 1, 2007 #1 Share Posted December 1, 2007 Without thinking...I booked a room on the 4th deck of Enchantment. Right above us is Boleros and the Casino. Has anyone else been beneath these venues and had a lot of problems with noise? I'm trying to decide if I should change my room.
CLQ Posted December 1, 2007 #2 Share Posted December 1, 2007 To be honest with you, I haven't. It'll be interesting to hear what others who have may say. But I'd be inclined to be on the move. Even if you could still find a cabin in the same category just down the hall and away from those two venues. We're rather early to bed. Couldn't take the chance. angie54751 Posted December 2, 2007 Author #3 Share Posted December 2, 2007 I'm just moving this to the top to see if I get any more suggestions. With only one reply I'm guessing not to many people have had a problem with the noise level above them. This will be a "girls" trip away from husbands and kids and doubt we will be early to bed. Plus, I usually bring ear plugs on my vacations just in case so really not too worried.....was just curious .
CLQ Posted December 2, 2007 #4 Share Posted December 2, 2007 I think it means that on a busy weekend in early December you just haven't heard from the right people. On here, silence doesn't mean you haven't asked a good question. Even if there's no noise problem, usually you would hear from folks telling you that. Let's stay tuned. Many won't even bother to look. Now saying that I stayed above a casino on a ship, though not this one. We could faintly hear some of the bells and such when there was a winner but not enough to bother us. If you are concerned switch rooms if one is available. As long as you stay in the same category your price won't change.
cb at sea Posted December 3, 2007 #6 Share Posted December 3, 2007 If you are an "early to bed" person, then try and move. If you don't go to bed until they drive you out of the public areas, then you'll be just fine! The rooms are incredibly quiet--no matter where you are--(lots of insulation!!!) dutchess43 Posted December 4, 2007 #7 Share Posted December 4, 2007 I would rather have cabins over my head then Boleros. Ever have to listen to drums pounding late at night?

IF you can change without changing category, I would say, YES, change. There are some ships on which MORE noise is transmitted from Boleros. I am thinking that Enchantment is one of them, because this was added in that location during the stretch, and I think that the retrofit didn't include as much careful insulating and fitting as there should have been. If you get one of the cabins very close to the champagne bar (the first few cabins in the row midships), just through the doors to the cabin area, you'll be good to go.
