chicouple Posted December 10, 2007 #1 Share Posted December 10, 2007 First time on this ship and we really want to experience back of the ship in a concierge room. One of the res agents at oceania said this room gets a lot of noise from the deck above which is the area where the buffet is. That they are out there early in the morning setting up and dragging furniture and you can hear it on deck 8. Has anyone been in this room and was there a noise problem? This room is right next door to the PH so can't imagine that they would put those back there if it was noisy. Thanks for any input you can give us. kreastman Posted December 11, 2007 #3 Share Posted December 11, 2007 We were in 8066 on Regatta for 10 days in September, and noise was never a problem.
worldly cruisers Posted December 11, 2007 #4 Share Posted December 11, 2007 I don't think it should be a problem! maybe your travel agent wanted you to upgrade. We are in 8054.
Mura Posted December 18, 2007 #5 Share Posted December 18, 2007 We were in 8067 on Regatta in November '05 and never heard a thing. When we were in 8008 on the then-R5 (not Regatta) in February '00 we did hear occasional chairs being moved around on the deck up above us, generally around 7-8 am, but it was never so loud as to really bother us. P&C Posted December 18, 2007 #6 Share Posted December 18, 2007 We are planning to do Baltic on Regatta in 09. The cruises come out for then in Feb 08. I would really like to be in early as possible to get a great cabin. What are considered be the best to get? What is the diffrence between PH1 PH2 PH3 and A1 A2 A3? Are 7116 7121, 8066 or 8069 good to have, for views etc? or 8024 8027, midships, or go for the PH's? Are they that much bigger and is the service that much better? For the Baltic which side is best ? We know if we did Celebrity M ships we would go for 6143 or 6144. Aft are great but people do look down on you from the Resturant above.

The best are the VS or OS The PH1 and A1 are in the centre of the ship.....$$$ PH2 & A2 are the next Cat out from centre....$$ PH3 & A3 are either end of the ship on that row....$ The cabins are about the same size in the A,B,C, D, cat the 2 aft cabins have a bit larger balcony
Aussie Gal Posted December 18, 2007 #8 Share Posted December 18, 2007 Mind you cabins in the C and D category do not have a verandah so if you take the verandah size into consideration and add that on, then A and B are larger in area. piccolo1 Posted May 25, 2008 #9 Share Posted May 25, 2008 Just wondering if you have taken your cruise yet and was noise a problem in 8066? We have that room booked for 2 sailings next year.
Minne Wonka Girl Posted August 3, 2008 #10 Share Posted August 3, 2008 Rahrah, Just wondering if the balcony in 8062 is obstructed due to the slant of the aft end of the ship. Thank you.
Sharicruz Posted August 3, 2008 #11 Share Posted August 3, 2008 Rahrah, Just wondering if the balcony in 8062 is obstructed due to the slant of the aft end of the ship. Thank you. Stateroom #8062 is slightly obstructed due to the way the hull of the ship comes down. Shari ***** CCC Member
