According to Cruise News Daily, seven people were injured -- everything from minor scrapes to broken bones. It was during a routine lifeboat drill, the lifeboats had been deployed and after the drill, the boat was being hoisted out of the water. At about 30 feet, one of the cables detached and then the other, sending the boat down. Michael, according to CND, it was a lifeboat.

This happened to another crew when my parents were aboard a few years ago. I can't recall which cruiseline it was but one crewmember was killed. He was the single father of a 12-year-old daughter. They said it was a very "somber" cruise after that day.
