Lovergirl Posted December 18, 2007 #1 Share Posted December 18, 2007 Good Morning - as a first-time cruiser, I am learning alot from these boards...THANKS! We are doing the NCL Star from LA this February, and I am wondering if anyone could recommend a reasonably-priced hotel in Long Beach that offers shuttles from the airport to the hotel and the hotel to the cruise ship, as we are just there overnight pre-cruise so we won't rent a car. Also, we would appreciate any suggestions for restaurants for a nice dinner on our pre-cruise night that are within walking/short cab ride. Thanks in advance for your expertise! ronrythm Posted December 18, 2007 #2 Share Posted December 18, 2007 If you are coming into LGB (Long Beach) there are a few Long Beach hotels that offer shuttle sevice, but I don't know of any that offer it to LAX or SNA (Orange County). Best bet from LAX is to take one of the shared rides (www.karmel.com or www.supershuttle.com) to the hotel in Long Beach, such as the Coast Hotel. Then you can take the free bus to Pine Street where there are loads of good restaurants or to Shoreline Village http://www.shorelinevillage.com/ bus link: http://www.lbtransit.com/Services/Pine-Avenue-Link.aspx If you want a waterfront tour, just take the AquaBus (see the bus link) Enjoy Ron
Rare Keith1010 Posted December 20, 2007 #3 Share Posted December 20, 2007 LAX is a good drive to Long Beach so there won't be any complimentary shuttles provided by the Long Beach hotels. You can take something like supershuttle (http://www.supershuttle.com) to get over to Long Beach. Keith
