Century 5 night cruise question

Granted my memory is not what it used to be, but it seems like last year on the 5 night cruise on Century we had 1 formal nite, 1 informal & 3 casual. My docs for this year say 2 informal & 2 casual. Has this changed, or do they alter the dress for these cruises?

Any recent cruisers out there?

That is what it said on the docs for my Century 5 night last year also, but once on board it was 1 formal 1 informal and 3 casual. I'm sure even though docs say 1, 2, and 2 it will be the 3 casuals. That is what we are planning on for our 5 nighter in January.

I know there is a difference between formal and other nights, but I have never been able to figure out what is now considered to be the difference between informal and casual nights. To me it seems like if it's not formal night, everyone dresses the same in the dining room. It is years since I have seen most men in sports jackets on these cruises on any nights. Women wear whatever is fashionable. Now that this past season is one where women were wearing more dresses, I am sure that you see more of them in the dining room on any night.

Hi, I just returned home from CENTURY, though it was a 4 nighter:eek:

Casual was really casual:rolleyes: :(.......sure does take away from

the ambiance in such a lovely dining room.

That is too bad that jeans were allowed in the dining room:confused:

Is the Century still under Code Red? Someone had said the library was closed and no salt & pepper shakers?

It was under code the 1st 3 days, but on our final night salt, pepper,

bread and butter were all back on the dining room tables so it was

clear on the final evening. They had them prior, but your waiter and/or assistant

would have to pour for you.

Yes, they allowed jeans...if you take a peek at my short review,

I posted about my recent sailing.
