Aplmac Posted December 28, 2007 #2 Share Posted December 28, 2007 Could any tell me how long it is to get to Earthworks, from the port? TYIA About 20 minutes, by car. Maybe 15. Depends on the traffic, and who's driving
Cool-Kid Posted December 28, 2007 #3 Share Posted December 28, 2007 There is an EarthWorks Pottery store just inside the cruise terminal. They had a pretty good selection last year.
Sunniebgi Posted December 28, 2007 #4 Share Posted December 28, 2007 If you don't have time to get to Shop Hill, then yes for sure use the store at the port, however.. nothing beats the drive to the pottery and then once you get there to see the "artwork on the walls" and the views. very nice indeed. Make sure you also go to the Ins and Outs shop and the On the Wall Gallary while at the Pottery as well. Enjoy.
Aplmac Posted December 28, 2007 #5 Share Posted December 28, 2007 - and the Batik store as well! Over top of the batik store is a cool little tree-top restaurant with a nice view! You have to walk thru On The Wall Art Gallery to get to it so it's an opportunity to see nice local artwork and better-quality craftwork.
roosterhead Posted December 30, 2007 Author #6 Share Posted December 30, 2007 So, If I have only a couple of hours after my excursion, I can do it? Thanks, I am really looking forward to it, CB
Sunniebgi Posted December 30, 2007 #7 Share Posted December 30, 2007 I would more suggest that you check out the shop at the port if you only have 2 hours after your excursion. mainly if it's between about 3pm and 5pm there are some roads in that area that can be very congested (yes even for Barbados) and I wouldn't take the chance. and especially if the excursion is in the slightest bit running behind sked, you wouldn't make it there and back... and you couldn't enjoy the experience because you'd be rushing.
