I vote for the mice hands down. Was just about to book a great deal at a casino/hotel in AC yesterday when DH called and told me to read the business section of the local paper - seems they were cited for bedbugs and roaches - yuck! I stay in a lot of hotels, about every other week, and just freak out at the thought of bedbugs.

I almost always travel with one or two cats (as I will on my next flight in a few weeks), so the mice aren't nearly as scary. That being said, I had a mouse get into my townhouse some years ago - 10 cats and one mouse. Do you think even one of them attempted to catch it? Nope - brain-dead Persians just kind of glanced and said "hmm, looks like she's got something else." It finally trapped itself in the coffee pot.

I'll take the mice...

I lived in London for a while, in a lower level flat in Kensington... We had the windows open for a few days and couldn't figure out the smell... to us, it smelled almost like a gas leak right outside our window... there was a little porch area there and someone had tossed a big refrigerator size box down there... we never used the porch area and didn't actually have access to it very easily...

So we call maintenance about the smell... they kept coming to our flat, they could smell it, couldn't figure out where it was coming from... After a few calls/visits they finally get out to the porchy area outside our window, lifted up the box...

DEAD RATS!!!!! Dead rats that were almost the size of my cat!

I knew there was a reason I am going to buy my own pillow and blanket for my flight to Australia in June...:D

also double whammy Barbara..just booked a hotel on Priceline last week for Chelsea area of New York before our Explorer cruise in April:eek:

Em,I am sure Priceline does not handle that hotel, it was also a residential hotel, lots of artists. I do not think Priceline even existed then:rolleyes:
