Just booked a Black Sea cruise for next year that is going to some smaller ports for which I have no inkling of what there is to do. The 2 in Greece are Katakolon and Navplion. In Turkey they are Trabzon and Sinop. Tried to do a search by posts on this board and came back zero!

Greece and Turkey are covered on the Europe/Mediterranean boards. You will definitely find information on the Greek ports there. Your stops in Turkey are less familiar, but someone may be able to help.

Katakolon is the port stop for a trip to ancient Olympia (home of a fabulous temple to Zeus and where the Olympics originated). You can do a tour or do it on your own via taxi or new train service from Katakolon to Olympia.

From Nauplia, you could take a tour of ancient Mycenae (home to Agamemnon from the Iliad), as well as see the theatre in nearby Epidauros (from 3rd century BC) and maybe even Corinth.
