marie&rick Posted January 22, 2008 #1 Share Posted January 22, 2008 We are doing a B2B cruise on the Liberty in Feb. and we are not in the same cabin for both cruises. Can we move our belongings to the other cabin before we disembark after the first cruise? How long do we have to stay off the ship? Any info from anyone who has done this before would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
scperk Posted January 22, 2008 #2 Share Posted January 22, 2008 You will have to pack up and usually the room stewards will help you move to the new room...They will leave a letter in yoru room at the end of the first cruise with instructions....on the Victory we met in the library and were escorted off the ship, thru customs and given new sign and sail cards and right back on..we were off maybe 30 minutes, then back to the pool deck and had our pick of chairs..........Dennis
firefly333 Posted January 22, 2008 #3 Share Posted January 22, 2008 You will have to put your things on something to move them and entrust them to your cabin steward to move them. They wouldnt let you move them and have access to your new cabin until after they walk your back thru customs and you have the new cabin card. Cant think of what its called, like a luggage cart you see in a hotel.
keene state mom Posted January 22, 2008 #4 Share Posted January 22, 2008 I am doing a back to back on the Valor in february also, and my new room is right next door, do I will have the same room stewart, which I am sure will help, so I can just carry things out of one closet into another. when that room is clean. torpeedo Posted January 22, 2008 #5 Share Posted January 22, 2008 We had the same room steward on our back to back. He assured us that he would clean the new room as soon as it was vacated, and he would help us move our things into the new room as soon as he finished. We were out of our old room and into the new room by 9 AM. Very painless and deserving of a nice tip.

marie&rick Posted January 22, 2008 Author #7 Share Posted January 22, 2008 Thank you everyone for all the info. Were you last to disembark after the first cruise? Do they let you into your second cabin early if it is ready or do you have to stay up on the Lido deck?
scperk Posted January 22, 2008 #8 Share Posted January 22, 2008 We were the last ones off and the first ones on...If it's the same room steward he might let you in your room...Are you going to have to change which deck you are going to be on....Usually they will bend the rules if you are going to pay for two cruises...We were going to wash clothes while in port but they locked up the laundry room..we just washed the first sea day and had no problems........Dennis
