cb at sea Posted February 7, 2008 #2 Share Posted February 7, 2008 Personal preference would be Southern. I'm not fond of the Mexican ports.
jpg1747 Posted February 7, 2008 #3 Share Posted February 7, 2008 I did Eastern last year. This year I'm doing Southern. I'll probably do Western next year, but I'm going to different ports than my last Western cruise - I want to avoid Jamaica and Grand Caymans this time. Sheffie Posted February 7, 2008 #4 Share Posted February 7, 2008 We've been the the Eastern, Western, and both of the Southern routes. Loved them all, but I would pick a Southern cruise over the others. The Southerns usually do include part of the Eastern, so you get 2 for the price of one! Nebr.cruiser Posted February 9, 2008 #5 Share Posted February 9, 2008 I like the Southern Route the best also. The only problem is that usually you then have to fly in and out of San Juan, which can be pricey. Sometimes you can find a ship out of Florida, usually longer than 7 days. Also, Southern cruises tend to be very port intensive, often only one sea day on a seven-night cruise. But the ports are very beautiful, varied and interesting. The Western Route is interesting also--but I'd choose Southern first, then Eastern.
