Ffestiniog Railway in Wales

We're thinking of taking this narrow gauge railway tour while we're in Holyhead in September. Have you done this? What did you think?

I'll second the poster who said it was worthwhile. Also look at the Talyllyn Railway, which isn't too far - some lovely views from there too.

 

I'd say that those are the pick of the Welsh narrow gauge lines - although I haven't been on the Welsh Highland Railway.
