What Time Do You Disembark??

You can probably hang around the ship until 11AM, and then go to the airport, and check in your luggage and have a nice leisurely lunch at the airport.

With a 3:30 flight the earliest they will be able to check in luggage, at least at FLL, is 12:30, some airlines it is 1:30.

They may want to see about using the Onboard Luggage Valet Program so they don't have to deal with their luggage and either get a day room at a hotel or do a post cruise excursion.

Is there a place at Port Everglades that will store your luggage after you disembark? (We've never sailed from this port).......our flight doesn't leave until 5:30. When we sailed the Grandeur out of Tampa we had a late flight also.....for a small fee, they (Port of Tampa) stored our bags so we could walk around, visit a few shops, have lunch, etc. When we were ready to head to the airport, we just collected our luggage and jumped in a cab.

We sat up on deck until they called our color which was about 10:00. By the time we actually got off the ship it was about 10:15 or so. Although the lines moved through customs at a steady pace we had our luggage by approx 10:45. We had a little bit of a wait for a taxi, but we were at FLL by 11:45. Our flight was 2:30. Time did fly that day so if you get to the airport the wait isnt too bad.

There is a place at FLL where you can store your bags, but not at Port Everglades.

Depending on your airline, you may be able to take advantage of the Onboard Luggage Valet program which is the best option of all. For a $20 per person fee, RCCL checks you in for your flights, prints of your boarding passes and luggage tags, and then after you cruise transport your bags to the airport for you. You then get to skip the check in lines and head straight to security once you get to the airport.

That really is a great idea.....I've seen this mentioned before on CC, but haven't seen Northwest listed as a participating airline. I'll check into it......thanks!
