39august Posted February 12, 2008 #1 Share Posted February 12, 2008 Is there a $2 or $3 bus tour of Progresso? If so, where do we catch the bus after we get off the pier shuttle, please? And how long does the tour take?

And how long does the tour take? You can catch it where the shuttle bus drops you in town. It was $2 when we were there a couple of year ago. It only ran 20 or 30 min. if memory serves. Take a camera.

The busses are double deckers so be sure to sit on top as you have a much better view.:)

paranorma Posted February 18, 2015 #5 Share Posted February 18, 2015 I'm looking forward to it, going in May. Just making sure the bus takes you back to the port, correct?
maldenmusic Posted April 13, 2015 #6 Share Posted April 13, 2015 I think the price had gone up to $3 or $4 when we did it last year. Sit on the top for the best views.
Quilcruisers Posted May 9, 2015 #7 Share Posted May 9, 2015 Yes the bus takes you back to port. The first bus you take from the port will take you to a terminal where you wait for another bus. We waited for awhile for the bus to come but there was seating available and you could walk to the beach or shop around the area while you wait. So funny to see all the families riding scooters with 3 people on board and driving right along with the big box trucks and cars with children on the back. I think I may skip the tour next time and just go to the beach. While on the tour we saw the military base, lots of homes and lots of views of the beach. The city is very small. Mekamax Posted September 21, 2015 #8 Share Posted September 21, 2015 When we went it was up to $4 or $5 and it was fun. They had two different ones. One was like $7 I think but you could hop on and off it and it was more of a shuttle and the double deck bus one we took was the cheaper one. We had to pick it up after getting off the bus from the pier you go through the little shopping area to the other side to get the double decker bus. Also it will drop you off where it picks you up so you can walk to the beach or shop from there. Then you go back through the shopping area to the buses that take you back to the ship.
