Rare PescadoAmarillo Posted February 16, 2008 #1 Share Posted February 16, 2008 On the ships that offer the Sanctuary (I believe the Caribbean, Crown and Emerald), are you still able to use the Lotus pool (against the current) and the saunas and steamrooms in the Lotus spa area for free? To get to the Sanctuary, do you walk up from the Lotus pool area, or do you walk forward from mid-ship on that level (I'm guessing it's level 16 or 17)? Thanks! Yes, the pool and hot tubs are available to anyone and the hot tubs are the best on the ship. The area is very peaceful, but there are not enough lounges. sue
Spoiled Wife Posted February 17, 2008 #5 Share Posted February 17, 2008 The pool and hot tubs are free for anyone. The Sanctuary (steam room, loungers, and sauna) requires payment either by the day or you can buy a week's or cruise length pass. It is "free" only for those booked in suites. LEESRE Posted February 17, 2008 #6 Share Posted February 17, 2008 Unlike Spoiledwife says it is only the Sanctury that charges, there are sauna and steam facilities in the locker rooms and these are FREE. Don't forget that Caribbean princess does not have a sanctury at the present time. We have just sailed on Caribbean princess and used the facilities and we did not have to pay for these. The Lotus pool is free but most of our cruise it was closed due to choppy seas. Enjoy your crusie.
Rare PescadoAmarillo Posted February 17, 2008 Author #7 Share Posted February 17, 2008 Thanks for the responses! One of my favorite areas on the ship is the Lotus pool area and the wonderful steam rooms as saunas, as they are on the Sapphire/Diamond. Nice to know they're still free (at least in the locker rooms) on the bigger ships.
Rare northwoods2 Posted February 17, 2008 #8 Share Posted February 17, 2008 I thought it was only the Thermal Suite that was free to those in suites but the Sanctuary was still a fee. I would love it if it is free. I plan to try it out either way.
frankathy Posted February 17, 2008 #9 Share Posted February 17, 2008 The santuary was on wasn't very much money. It was sold out everyday. But people never showed up for their spots. So they paided and no showed. Like pool chair hogs. We spent 2 full days there. Only problem is it can be very windy and cool.
