Laundromats

We will be cruising for 3.5 weeks on the Grand, which thankfully has a self serve laundry. However, post cruise we are spending another 4 weeks in Europe - mainly Rome and Paris. Does anyone know if there are self serve laundries in the cities, and if so, how we would go about finding out where they are? Thanks for any help you can provide.

There certainly will be self service launderettes. Best bet for finding them will probably be to ask the hotel staff where you are staying. If they say there is only the hotels service, go out to a shop and ask the locals. I have done a search looking for them in Barcelona, to see if there was one near the port and found a couple of websites with them on, so if you know where you are going you could try 'googling' for the city you are heading for.

Yes, ask at the hotel as the previous poster stated or at a local drugstore or Pharmacy(the big green cross).I know there are quite a few in Paris,and I have seen some in Rome so there should not be a problem.I do suggest before you leave you take a few of the small boxes of detergent or put some n a zip lock bag and take some dryer sheets as well.This will save time/eruo and how the darn things work!!
