Getting to the cruiseport

I'm leaving for a cruise on Mar. 14. We're arriving at the Ft. Lauderdale Airport, but cruising out of Miami. Are there any affordable transportation companies that we can book that will take us from the airport to Miami?

I don't think a taxi is all that expensive, and it's sure faster than waiting to fill a shuttle!

It depends on how many in your party to whats affordable. We had 6 adults all with 2 pcs each with luggage so we opted to take a stretch limo for 33.pp round ttrip.

Just take a taxi, good chance that someone else on your flight might need to go to the port as well, if you have a large party then just use a taxi van, they are plentiful.

GOShuttle shared ride shuttle service is $18 per person, the GOShuttle private towncar service is $64 for up to four people. A metered cab runs between $75-$85 to the POM.

 

No reservations are required for the GOShuttle service. When you arrive at the airport, collect your luggage and go outside the baggage claim area, lower level, curbside, contact one of the starters (customer services reps.) wearing a white shirt with "GO AIRPORT SHUTTLE" in green on the back of the shirt and an emblem on the sleeve and over the breast pocket. Let the starter know what service you are interested in and he/she will assist you. Piece of cake.

I'm going with a group of 15, so we'll probably wait until we get there. I want to avoid having to make a reservation for a service and charging it to my credit card.

aer you traveling the same day as the cruise??

 

what are your arrangements coming home? these shuttle services dont work from MIA to FLL so you either will take a cab-- or the cruiselines shuttle service (which can be mighty expensive per person)

 

I would line something up ahead of time-- at least for your way back

We're going down the day before our cruise leaves.

I new at this since this is my first time cruising.

Are taxis/shuttle vans plentiful at the Miami cruiseport? If not, I'll make a reservation so that there can be some sort transportation waiting to take us back to FLL.
