Lounge Question????

In October my husband and I are traveling to Europe we are flying MSP-LAX-CDG-BCN we are using skymiles and are flying First/Business so from what I have read on the forum that I am eligible to go into the lounges at the different airports.

So my question is what are the best ones at these airports I am going to be at? Also what can I expect?

Thanks

On the assumption that your LAX-CDG flight is non-stop (otherwise you wouldn't be going so far out of your way to do that), then it looks like you're on Air France for LAX-CDG and CDG-BCN.

If so, then as you're departing from Terminal 2 at LAX, it looks like you should have access to the Northwest lounge there. And of course there are plenty of Air France lounges in Paris. Have a look at this Skyteam page for more details.

Are you flying Northwest from MSP to LAX? If so, as you have an international itinerary you may be able to access the Northwest lounge there as well - I think that's a common condition for getting lounge access on domestic US flights. But you may need to check specifically with the airline to see whether this is the case.

Also, when FlyerTalker sees this thread, there may be further specialist input - I think that FlyerTalker is our specialist Skyteam expert.

Yes I am flying Northwest from MSP-LAX then Air France from LAX-CDG-BCN then on the way home I am flying Delta from BCN-ATL-MSP.

So I am thinking that I could get into the Northwest lounge in MSP and then the Air France in LAX and CDG then I assume the Delta lounge in BCN and ATL. I just kinda wanted to verify and get any tips or advice on what to expect.

Thanks

There are two Northworst lounges in MSP. Both large with free booze/snacks (booze not available early in the morning). Free wireless, too.

The NW lounge at LAX is upstairs. Small, oftne overly crowded. The AF lounges at CDG are fine. Internet available.

I can't remember anything about the BCN lounge.. I've been in it several times and since I can't remember I am assuming it is neither great nor horrid.

Delta has lounges in several places in ATL.

I am not sure what information you are interested in. All the lounges are non-smoking.

If you are on an international thorugh business or first ticket, you will have access to the domestic lounges.

I don't think that there's an Air France lounge at LAX - I certainly couldn't find any trace of one. I fear that you will probably have to put up with the NW lounge there, which is the only partner lounge in T2.

There doesn't seem to be a Delta lounge at BCN, but there is an Air France lounge so you might well get directed to that one instead.

On Northwest's web site, go HERE and you can read up about WorldClubs (including the locations of all accessible partner lounges). If you're flying WBC on Northwest, you get complimentary lounge access. I'm not 100% sure if that will apply to access on the domestic legs of your trip (MSP-LAX) or if it applies to access to partner lounges such as AF's.
