nicole9s Posted March 5, 2008 #1 Share Posted March 5, 2008 Can anyone tell me about the Persian Gardens onboard the Century? How much is a pass, and is it worth it? As a point of reference, is it similar to the Rainforest room aboard the Disney ships? Thanks!
Rare hcat Posted March 5, 2008 #2 Share Posted March 5, 2008 Can't compare them for you but it's just OK--although on century it may be better--more light & bright But on M class they are interior & to me rather dreary--sometimes not everything works as it is supposed to--there are steam & dry sauna rooms, rooms with aroma & some special showers & heated seating--it was nice to try but not again--I guess a day there might be nice..not as nice as the same area (Thermal suite) on Royal) IMHO.. we really wanted to go on century but they only offered it if you took a couples massage---& DH is not interested..plus very expensive.. Lsimon Posted March 5, 2008 #3 Share Posted March 5, 2008 Be sure to go take a look on embarkation day - it is not in use that day and will be open to tour. Ask about getting a day pass and if the price of the day pass can be applied towards a full cruise pass if you like it. These will give you the best idea of what it is and what it is like. We've seen it and didn't think we'd like it, but know many others who love it.
reverie4401 Posted March 6, 2008 #4 Share Posted March 6, 2008 We've enjoyed the PG on the Millie and the Thermal Suite on the Brilliance, so we didn't hesitate to do the same on the Century. We cruised right after the refurb and there were extensive problems so we just got a refund. I'm sure they have everything running fine now. On the Millie we enjoyed everything: the Grotto, the showers and the wonderful heated benches by the fountain. We liked that the staff kept ice water near the fountain. The TS had beautiful window walls like the Century, and their contoured heated loungers were wonderful. For inexplicable reasons, the PG on Century only had 4 cedar chaise set out. Perhaps they have made changes since our trip. We'd like to know. .
Gonzo70 Posted March 6, 2008 #5 Share Posted March 6, 2008 Is there a way to utilize it on Century without booking a couple's massage?
sassycruiser Posted March 6, 2008 #6 Share Posted March 6, 2008 Don't suite passengers get a discount? I thought I had read that somewhere?
02143 Posted March 6, 2008 #7 Share Posted March 6, 2008 How many innovations on the rehabbed Century broke down quickly, and are they up and running now? I've heard this and also the ice bar.
