Naples cruise docking

Recommended Posts

Hi we were there in October and didn't see anything coming in or out of Naples. Definitely when you're docked you can see Vesuvius, but not the Coast. Naples is pretty tucked in there. On a very clear day you might be able to see across to Sorrento or Capri.

This is an interesting site with info and photos of where you are docked in Naples: http://www.europeportreviews.com/Naples.htm (it's a great site for info on many ports...see the index at the left).

I don't recall seeing the Amalfi coast either after leaving Naples and heading south, but it was a highlight on our port day there!:)

Do you have a view of the Almalfi coast when the ship is docked at Naples or when leaving?thanks

No. The major places around the bay are Naples, the Vesuvius and the coast around Sorrento. The Amalfi coast is on the other side of the peninsula on which Sorrento is located and thus cannot be seen from the Naples area.
