Dress for Alaska Cruise

Recommended Posts

On formal nights--the majority will be in formal or eveningwear! Dark suits or tuxes, and gowns or cocktail dresses. There will always be some who won't dress for the occassion, but they will be in the minority!

We were on Princess in Alaska and it seemed like EVERYONE really decked out on the two formal nights. The rest of the time was pretty laid back and low key. People wore jeans and pants, sweaters, etc. Gets pretty chilly especially in the evenings. And on port days, it's SO exhausting (and exhilirating) - so many excursions are long, long - it seemed like many people barely got back on board before they went to dinner. I just remember it being somewhat more casual in Alaska - except on formal night.
