How many roulette wheels?????

We are planning another cruise and this might not be important to everyone but to people in our party it is.........does anyone know how many roulette wheels are in the casino on the Serenade???

There are 2 wheels although both are not always in operation.

 

LSTEFFA-your math is a bit off. Statistically the house will win in the long run but if you play shrewdly and mathematically you can easily win.

 

Most cruises I get around a 25% return on what I bet. The last cruise since almost everything else was closed I could usually be found in the casino.

 

I took $500 gambling money and came back with $625 from roulette and $221 from bingo.

 

I typically play the outside columns with $5 chips and win most spins. I've seen folks spread over single #'s and win hundreds of dollars and then turn around and blow it 5 minutes later.

Unfortunately, I must agree with the other person. Every bet on the roulette table, except one, has a house edge of 5.2%.

 

For example, let's assume you bet $1 on 1 number. The probability of winning is 1:38, assuming a U.S. wheel. The probability of losing is 37:38. Therefore, the expected return is [(1/38) x $35 if you win] -[ (37/38) * $0 if you lose]. This reduces down to an expected pay of -2/38, or approximately -5.2%.

 

This is holds true for every bet, except the 0-00-1-2-3 group bet, which has a slightly higher house edge.

 

This does not mean that in the short run that one cannot win and have fun at roulette. But in the long-run, which may take thousands of spins, there is no way to reduce the house 5.2% edge assuming that it's a fair wheel.

Slots have the worst odds, followed by roulette (with double zeros!), ! Those 2 zeros on the wheel really cut your odds significantly!

Actually the best odds for me are always 3-Card Poker and Caribbean Stud Poker. But both are more long term games and you have to accept losses to increase your chances of that 'lucky' hand.

 

BJ became to frustrating. Endless time we had to watch the dealer beat the table with like 6 or 7 cards or the mysterious streaks of BJs. And when the table has finally a little luck going someone will jump in and break it. :(

 

I never played crabs before the last cruise. But it seems like an interesting game. Since there is a little more thinking involved I decided to play crabs a little bit on every cruise from now on just to get into it.
