We are booked on the Liberty Cat. 8A. I don't have a room # yet but I know it is on the Upper deck and a balcony. Any one stayed in this category before? Thanks for any information you have. First cruise for us and we are excited.

Our first CCL cruise was on Liberty, in an 8A. This was last minute, and we did not get to "choose" our cabin -but it was not a guarentee, either - got the last 8A quad available (a hurricane in Mexico destroyed our land-based vacation dreams) Best thing to ever happen to us, cause now we are Carnival converts. Anyway, back to the cabin. We had 6220, which was a forward balcony cabin "over" the showroom. Now and then we heard the bass of the sound system, but not as bad as we had originally thought. I had even brought earplugs, as we are light sleepers - never used them. Loved the cabin. I guess it just depends on what you are "over". Heard some complaints about being over the lounge (kareoke) or disco, and even the casino. Good luck on your room assignment. You can always call and see if you can switch, if you get a not so great location.

I would not know where I was located but I am sure any balcony room is going to suit us just fine. I have never stepped foot on a cruise ship. At any rate we are going to enjoy every minute of this trip.
