Papasaurus Posted March 19, 2008 #1 Share Posted March 19, 2008 We are booked on the Liberty Cat. 8A. I don't have a room # yet but I know it is on the Upper deck and a balcony. Any one stayed in this category before? Thanks for any information you have. First cruise for us and we are excited.
pe4all Posted March 20, 2008 #2 Share Posted March 20, 2008 Our first CCL cruise was on Liberty, in an 8A. This was last minute, and we did not get to "choose" our cabin -but it was not a guarentee, either - got the last 8A quad available (a hurricane in Mexico destroyed our land-based vacation dreams) Best thing to ever happen to us, cause now we are Carnival converts. Anyway, back to the cabin. We had 6220, which was a forward balcony cabin "over" the showroom. Now and then we heard the bass of the sound system, but not as bad as we had originally thought. I had even brought earplugs, as we are light sleepers - never used them. Loved the cabin. I guess it just depends on what you are "over". Heard some complaints about being over the lounge (kareoke) or disco, and even the casino. Good luck on your room assignment. You can always call and see if you can switch, if you get a not so great location.

I have never stepped foot on a cruise ship. At any rate we are going to enjoy every minute of this trip.

sea_u_onboard Posted March 27, 2008 #5 Share Posted March 27, 2008 We've had 6335 twice. Nice location. The only problem cabins on this deck are above the disco. Now if you one of those in the disco you probably won't care.
