Make sure you take the afternoon tour of Sentosa Island. They have a morning tour and an afternoon tour. The Afternoon tour goes into the night and includes a fantastic light show on a huge fountain. Well worth it. This was the best advice we received while on our honeymoon 2 years ago.

We also did the night zoo and breakfast at the zoo. Both the wife and I liked the breakfast at the zoo better. More happens during the day.

Make sure you learn how to use the MRT on day one. We didn't until day 5, and it is very simple to use and easily the best way to get around.

Hope this helps.

At least portions of the Shangri La were given a major redo < 2 years ago. Nice green spot in the midst of all that concrete, isn't it?

The two art museums are rather nice and you will be walking distance from the excellent Botanical Garden and the wonderful orchard garden therein.

And, of course CHILI CRABS -- proof that life can be good.

What Singapore is not any more is inexpensive.

Best trips, best hotels, best restaurants ???

The merchant court swiss hotel is on clarke key and close to boat key with plenty of top restaraunts on the river. metro outside. two metro stops to harbour town its huge shops galore. this where the cruise ships are. there is a cable car takes you to sentosa then back by train. don,t take a tour its easy to do on your own.you only pay for the cable car. if you like eat streets go to le pa sat great food and cheap this is where the locals eat.

www.singaporeflyer.com this is a travis wheel just opened its 42 ft bigger than the london eye.the cabins seat 30 people. china is building a bigger one for the olympics. the transport is very cheap don,t be frightened to use taxis they are susidised by the goverment.singapore is very clean and hygenic. little crime and safe to walk around day and night. it does not matter what hotel you stay in as i said transport everywhere.i have been to s/pore 14 times and love it.if you have cash there are money changers close buy and good rates. wear good shoes as you walk plenty while you shop untill you drop. i could ramble on this subject. enjoy s/pore its great.
