Riviera Inside or Plaza Outside?

I have a choice to get an Inside cabin R323 on Riviera Deck or an outside on Plaza Deck. The Riviera is good because of the location. How is the Plaza Deck?

I was given that option once to move from Riveria to outside on Plaza .I myself pick Riveria

This was simply because the inside area is a peaceful area of the ship ,close to getting to the outside areas and snacks.

The Plaza inside on the ship I was sailing on was close to the debarkation area which at times can get very congested. It was underneath Casino. The plus side is that you do have a window and natural daylight..

If I were you, it would all depend. If you're under a deck or the buffet, it could be very noisy. I will never, ever book anything under a public deck again. Plaza deck is convenient to a whole lot of things plus you have an outside cabin, with window, and daylight. As for my personal opinion for myself, an outside cabin would win over an inside cabin any day of the week.

We have outside on Plaza next month on Dawn. I hear it is very quiet.
You'll love it. I've had Plaza deck cabins on the Sun Princess and Island Princess. Both times, they were a great location, convenient to everything, and very quiet. The only people going past your cabin are those in the cabins beyond you.

On the Plaza deck itself there can be alot of activity...The cabin I was offered on Plaza was very close to the Shore Excursion deck. which at times gets very busy.......

Think it depends on what ship and ones own preference.:)

We like to be in a cabin up high on the ship...Riviera or Lido on the Super Grands, Aloha or Lido on the Grand class. If you are in an inside cabin either forward or aft, and not under the main pools, you are far less likely to hear any noise from above in your cabin. We usually stay right below the back deck of the ship, under the outdoor seating area for the Horizon Court buffet, and it is very quiet except on Island Night when the party is held back there (so we just try to stay late at the party!).

Saying that, we had a Plaza deck cabin for a cruise in January, and we grew to love it...very convenient for going to the dining room, getting on and off the ship in ports, and returning to our cabin after the evening's entertainment. But the weather was not warm on that cruise. When the weather is hot, we love our cabins up high, where we can get out to an outer deck and hot tubs very quickly and easily.

We've have a few oceanview cabins, and I kind of don't feel they're worth it. Either balcony or (more often) inside cabins for us.
