Autoprogresso Merida tour??

Can someone tell me how long thier tour is? The web site only gives a short description and price. And does anyone know whether there is more than one departure time for the tour? I have read on these boards that the morning tour departs at 10 or 10:30 AM. Is that correct? I have tried to email them, but there is a problem with thier e-mail address.

when the bus fare is only $3.00 RT, why in the world would you need a tour? The busses run every 15 minutes from the main bus terminal. Merida is a large (1 mil) spanish colonial city which is both safe and clean. Lots to see and do including having lunch. Check out http://www.yucatantoday.com

I haven't rode the collectivo in Progreso, but we took one from Akumal to Playa Del Carmen. It is a neat and cheap way to travel. The people on the bus were friendly and made us feel right at home. I will definately do it again.

If the tour is $3.00, do you need pesos? Also, when you get to Merida, how do you know when to get off the bus? When it is time to come back, if we don't know Spanish, is it a problem to get on the right bus?
