gymswim Posted September 30, 2004 #1 Share Posted September 30, 2004 Does anyone of our Cruisecritics have experience with either Hellenic tours or Greece a la carte in Athens? We are looking for a car and driver to take the two of us around Athens for the day and both are quoting about 250- 350 euros per person. That includes picking us up in Piraeus and dropping us at the airport that afternoon. (approx 5 hours) Both companies offer pretty much the same sights and a choice of seeing the National Archaeological, or the Benaki, or the Cycladic Arts, or the Agora. Cruise Junky Posted October 2, 2004 #3 Share Posted October 2, 2004 This is a message from the guy we're using....he seems a lot more reasonable... Thank you for your email. I will be available for you on October 20th 2005. The duration of the Athens&Sounion tour is about 9 hours (8AM – 5PM). This tour includes: the Acropolis, the Kalimarmaro stadium (which is our national stadium), the changing of the guards, shopping at the Plaka area, the Greek&Roman agora, the stills of Olympian Zeus. Then we drive along the coastline of Athens down to the temple of Poseidon at cape Sounion (here we will have lunch by the seaside). Then we return for your departure at the port. (I will also show you the new facilities for the 2004 Olympics.) The price for this tour is 230 Euros. If this is acceptable to you please confirm so I can reserve time for you. Please look at my website for further details: http://*****
