cruisinwithboys Posted April 9, 2008 #1 Share Posted April 9, 2008 We are going on our first cruise in a couple of weeks (April 27th on the Sensation) and we have another short cruise, without the kids:D , booked for September. I'm starting to look for another cruise around this time next year for a 6-7 day cruise. Does anyone have any suggestions on which cruise to take? We are in Georgia so leaving from a port close to here would be great too. Thanks!
LynneL Posted April 9, 2008 #2 Share Posted April 9, 2008 You don't say how old your kids are but I always like the Western Caribbean itinerary & a lot of choices if you depart from Florida. Cozumel is nice (Paradise Beach or going shopping or Swim with the Dolphins), Grand Cayman has the Stringray City, don't know if Costa Maya back up & running but enjoyed just sunning ourselves there. Jamaica, of course, gets lots of negative feedback - not entirely undeservered - but went there 2x & going again in Dec. Always had fun. Took tours both times thru Fern Gully, then to climb Dunns River Falls. Will do the same thing this time again.
firefly333 Posted April 9, 2008 #3 Share Posted April 9, 2008 The Glory from Port Canaveral is awesome, 7 days. You can park at the Radisson for free no matter which room you book and they have a free shuttle even if you dont book the cruise special rooms. We paid $99 plus tax for our room at the Radisson and got to park free for the week. Sleep comfort beds were fun to try out.

We usually have to pay $10 per day to park so that's almost staying overnight for free!

St. Thomas and St. Maarten are beautiful ports. Nassau is nothing special, but the water is gorgeous. I would highly recommend the cruise.:D
halos Posted April 9, 2008 #6 Share Posted April 9, 2008 I really enjoyed the legend out of Tampa. I prefer the western caribbean, personally.
