Onboard account

At the end of the cruise can i pay any dollars i have left off my onboard account,and the remainder by credit card????

On our last cruise when I won $$$ at casino I just ran to the Pursers Desk afterwards and requested it to be put towards my onboard account ..no probs :D

When you 1st board the ship, you will be setting up your onboard account with either a credit card, debit card or cash. You will be issued a seapass card which is connected to whatever type payment plan you used. The last night of the cruise, you will receive an invoice (or you can check it daily at the pursor's desk) , when you receive the invoice, you have the option to pay it off in cash, apply some cash towards the balance, or just let it roll over on to the original type of payment plan you set up. Hope this answers your question.

Don't wait until departure morning to do this! Lines can be really long and slow! Try to do it the night before.

we get a printout each day to review (good way to catch errors ahead of time) and my husband goes down and pays a bit on it every few days, we try to not leave anything on the credit card, definately as the above poster said try to do it the night before though, we usually still have a small amount, like drinks from dinner but not a big bill to come home to

As long as it is legal tender the cruise ships do not care how you pay it. Cash, traveler's checks or spread out among 1, 2 or 3 credit cards. :p

And you don't have to go to the purser's desk to check your balance. The t.v. in the room has a menu where you can pull up your seapass account anytime to check your purchases and amount due.

That depends on the ship. Vision class and Sovereign class ships do NOT have this feature.

I read the daily cash limit is 500. Does that mean if I have 1000 in travelers checks I can only put 500 on in one day? Or does it mean we can only charge 500 per day. HELP LOL

Once you charge $500, you will be requied to pay before you can charge anymore on your seapass.
