pmshirl Posted April 12, 2008 #3 Share Posted April 12, 2008 When you 1st board the ship, you will be setting up your onboard account with either a credit card, debit card or cash. You will be issued a seapass card which is connected to whatever type payment plan you used. The last night of the cruise, you will receive an invoice (or you can check it daily at the pursor's desk) , when you receive the invoice, you have the option to pay it off in cash, apply some cash towards the balance, or just let it roll over on to the original type of payment plan you set up. Hope this answers your question.
newbie cruiser77 Posted April 12, 2008 Author #4 Share Posted April 12, 2008 Thanks Liz:) i just thought with us taking a few euros and dollars for tips it would be great not to have to change them both back up when we get home.
cb at sea Posted April 12, 2008 #5 Share Posted April 12, 2008 Don't wait until departure morning to do this! Lines can be really long and slow! Try to do it the night before.
honeydog714 Posted April 12, 2008 #6 Share Posted April 12, 2008 we get a printout each day to review (good way to catch errors ahead of time) and my husband goes down and pays a bit on it every few days, we try to not leave anything on the credit card, definately as the above poster said try to do it the night before though, we usually still have a small amount, like drinks from dinner but not a big bill to come home to
lady_cruiser Posted April 12, 2008 #7 Share Posted April 12, 2008 As long as it is legal tender the cruise ships do not care how you pay it. Cash, traveler's checks or spread out among 1, 2 or 3 credit cards. :p
*CENSORED* Posted April 12, 2008 #8 Share Posted April 12, 2008 And you don't have to go to the purser's desk to check your balance. The t.v. in the room has a menu where you can pull up your seapass account anytime to check your purchases and amount due.

The t.v. in the room has a menu where you can pull up your seapass account anytime to check your purchases and amount due. That depends on the ship. Vision class and Sovereign class ships do NOT have this feature. i just thought with us taking a few euros and dollars for tips it would be great not to have to change them both back up when we get home. Very smart!!!!!!

LewLewBelle Posted April 13, 2008 #12 Share Posted April 13, 2008 I read the daily cash limit is 500. Does that mean if I have 1000 in travelers checks I can only put 500 on in one day? Or does it mean we can only charge 500 per day. HELP LOL Lew
*CENSORED* Posted April 13, 2008 #13 Share Posted April 13, 2008 Once you charge $500, you will be requied to pay before you can charge anymore on your seapass.
