Which side?

Could anyone recommend which side of the ship is preferable for a veranda room on the Celebrity Constellation. Is there a side with better views coming into port?

Thanks!

eta: Silly me... I forgot to mention which itinerary... that would help I think. :D

The December 12, 2008 sailing to the Eastern Caribbean... 10 days.

We were on the Connie for this same cruise in December of last year. We will be on her for this cruise again with you in December.

This year we have one of the aft cabins with a huge deck. They offer a great view and have bigger balconies.

If aft isn't available or doesn't float your boat (no pun intended) then we would recommend cabin 8045. This cabin is one of those CC cabin with a much larger deck but is not aft facing. We started out in 8045 as our cruise began but we had a small fire in our cabin when one of the electrical outlets shorted.

Luckily for us they had a last minute no-show in cabin 8066 which is also a CC cabin. They moved us to that cabin. Unfortunately 8066 has one of the average sized balcony. Obviously 8066 is on the opposite side of the vessel from 8045. We didn't see any difference let alone any advantage to either the port or starboard side of the vessel. It seemed to be about even as far as which side of the ship was next to the pier.

Incidentally there is an identical counterpart to 8045 on the other side of the ship. It too has a big balcony. Hope this is helpful.

BTW please go to and post a hello on the Celebrity ROLL-CALL board for this sailing. See you in December.
