Can anyone compare the Great Barrier Reef to Cozumel, Grand Cayman, Roatan or Belize? We are going to Australia, but it would be a major detour for GBR. Is it worth it, besides a bragging rite in your log book?

The reef and fish life are completely different. If you call yourself a diver, then there is no way that you can talk about going to Australia without doing the GBR.
