Best "unique" photo you've taken of a ship.

I have never seen a ship docked stern in at that dock in Skagway. I thought they always docked bow in

 

we docked that way when we were on Rhapsody a couple weeks ago

Photo from the QM2, I think it was leaving St Vincent at the time, it was from our 2005 Xmas cruise. :)

 

I've find the QM2 such a great Cruise Liner (ship) to photo.

OK, I just got a new camera and would love to know how to do something like this on it. I have yet to play with all the manual settings to figure it all out. Anyone have any general tips to do this???? Is it just the shutter speed or is there more to it??

Pretty much shutter speed + hold it really still!;)

LOL, they are extra propeller blades...probably a good precaution as this NCL ship, the Norwegian Sun, is about to embark on an Alaska trip.

First cruise of the year to Alaska - you have to be prepared for rain! And rain it did!

 

This is just a fun photo I took so we'd remember how much rain we got on this trip. We were glad we brought our full rain suits, other folks hadn't so Ketchikan merchants made a small fortune selling rain clothes.
