OK, so I bought some peeps today.
How long will it take them to get "stale"?

They're kind of like brandy, the peeps that are aged over 10 years are the best.

If I put them away for ten years, I will forget where I put them and never be able to find them. What is the minimum time for "staling"--seriously?

Any such thing as Peeps "seconds"?
Some of my peeps look like cyclops--with one eye in the middle of the front and the other in the back?

Okay, big cool news... did you know there is a PEEPS MAKER???? Yes, the Easter Bunny brought one to my house today!! Comes with little molds and so forth. The Peeps mold is a flat mold, though, so it's kind of like someone hit the poor little things with a steam roller.

Oh, and I think a peep can be properly aged if you just rip open the plastic and leave it on the kitchen counter over night. Then, it's a Peepy breakfast!!

Great news! Since easter is over tomorrow, all the peeps that are left in the stores are marked down for clearance!

Loved the PEEPS surgery site!

I also agree with abridalmaven...bring on the SugarFree versions!!! Mmmmmm

As I just returned from my short, Easter weekend cruise, just thought I would let everyone know that there were NO Peeps aboard that I saw, however the dining room and windjammer were decorated with Easter baskets filled with jelly beans, large chocolate eggs, chocolates, other candy, Mexican chocolates and REAL dyed Easter eggs for all to share. I thought it was a nice touch. My room steward, however, did not hide any eggs for us

Oh heck am I glad my son isn't reading these boards just now
On our first visit to USA in Feb we trailed round Miami for 3 days before our cruise and 3 days after looking for-Peeps,Lucky Charms and Slurpees. When we did manage to find them all we had to take photos to show his mates back home-before he ate them all.By the way he is 14 !!

How did he learn of Peeps and Slurpees?-the internet-with Lucky charms they use to have them here in UK about 10 years ago!

I also now have to stock Grenadine in the cupboards for puting in his cola-that was thanks to friends on his first cruise last year

Since everyone seems to prefer the peeps when they are stale, perhaps the manufacturer should age them in the factory before they are packaged. They can be labeled like scotch whiskey saying they are 5 years old or ten years old.....

I will tell my hubby to mention to the R & D Dept. at Just Born, Inc. (where he works) to consider selling 'factory aged' Peeps...also, someone mentioned 'sugar free' Peeps. Another other ideas to pass along????

Did you all know that Peeps ARE made for other occasions, too. Stars-shapped Peeps for Memorial Day, 4th of July & Labor Day.

Pumpkin, bat and ghost Peeps for Halloween.

Snowman and Xmas Trees for Xmas.

So remember...every Peep you eat puts me ONE step closer to that Nov. '04 cruise!!!

Does anyone know if Peeps are available to Peep lovers in the UK?

Thanks to all of you who LOVE to eat Peeps.

The more Peeps you eat....the more overtime my husband gets, (as previously stated, he works at Just Born, Inc. the maker of the Peeps)...the more cruises I get to go on!!!

..and remember, Peeps aren't just for Easter anymore!...So, eat up people...I want to go on a cruise in Nov. 04!!!

So, thanks again...

I'll think I'll bypass the Peeps and support JustBorn and your cruise fund by eating all the Zours I can get my hands on...

Counting down the days until our Alaskan cruise on the Vision!

I was going to tell everyone about Peeps for other holidays, but Glendon beat me to it. I, too, am a Peep and Marshmallow Peanut lover. I have been on a diet for my May 30 cruise on Mariner so left them alone this Easter, but I will be back, I promise. All of my co-workers know I like them stale so they open up the packages for me and leave them sit out overnight. My mother always said I loved the peanuts ever since first grade when I got to be in a little play and played a monkey that got to eat the peanuts.

Happy Cruising everyone. I can hardly wait to go. This time the kids and grandkids are going with us for our 40th anniversary.
