lynn47 Posted May 20, 2008 #1 Share Posted May 20, 2008 I hope this doesn't sound silly but, how do you know if you have a "hump cabin"? Thanks all! :o
cb at sea Posted May 20, 2008 #2 Share Posted May 20, 2008 You look at the deck plan--and you can see where the ship "bows" out near the midships area. What ship? What line? Not all ships have "humps"!

lynn47 Posted May 26, 2008 Author #5 Share Posted May 26, 2008 Dear CB, It doesnt look like the ship bows where you said it might. So mine doesnt seem to look like a hump cabin. But I am sailing on the Legend of the seas RCCL cabin# 7546. Thanks!
ngtbj05 Posted May 28, 2008 #6 Share Posted May 28, 2008 What exactly is a hump cabin?
alcpa1 Posted May 28, 2008 #7 Share Posted May 28, 2008 first -The Legend of the Seas does not have a hump. second - A hump is a mid ship section that bows out over the superstructure of the vessel. It is a feature on some ships like the Radiance class, the Voyager class and the Freedom class ships of RCI. The new Celebrity Solstice will have a hump section. The Carnival Spirit class ships have cabins that extend over the superstructure mid ships but I wouldn't call them hump cabins. If you will check out deck plans for the above classes you will clearly see the "hump" cabins. To the best of my knowledge there are no hump cabins on Holland American or Princess. jspirit Posted May 29, 2008 #8 Share Posted May 29, 2008 Celebrity Solstice- found the " hump" you are speaking about. Why would a cabin on the hump be a good choice? Better viewing from the balcony? Anything good or bad? Thanks!

lady_cruiser Posted June 5, 2008 #10 Share Posted June 5, 2008 What exactly is a hump cabin? Think of the humb cabin as a camel's back. It is in the middle of the ship and the balcony extends a little farther out than the rest of the cabins.
