Tom Gregory Posted May 28, 2008 #1 Share Posted May 28, 2008 The search feature is down on CC so forgive a redundant question. We have just received our cabin assignment for our June cruise. It appears we are located right below La Veranda. Are there any noise problems regarding the location? I know I have read once upon a time of early morning chair movement, but I was seeking any input. Three weeks and counting before we cruise! Thanks in advance for the help. Travelcat2 Posted May 28, 2008 #2 Share Posted May 28, 2008 The noise should be minimal below La Veranda (less than being under the swimming pool areas). At night, only the "port" side of La Veranda is open. You may hear some chairs during dining hours. The Mariner, in general, has less noise than the Voyager or Navigator. Have a grat cruise! Jim B Posted May 28, 2008 #3 Share Posted May 28, 2008 We had a cabin below LaVeranda on our Amazon River Cruise aboard the Mariner. Out of 12 days I noticed it maybe twice. What I did notice more than that was our cabin was across from the employee access door and that started slaming rather early in the morning. Now I must admit that we were upgraded two levels for this cruise and that is where we ended up. So can't complain.
Tom Gregory Posted May 28, 2008 Author #4 Share Posted May 28, 2008 Thanks for the help. We too have been upgraded to that location so no complaints. The final documents have arrived and we're getting set. And thanks TC2 for all the input and reviews on your just completed cruise. It will be interesting to see what changes will be coming about.
