Trotsky00 Posted May 30, 2008 #1 Share Posted May 30, 2008 Hi all, Going on the Eastern Med. cruise on the Galaxy on the 22nd of Aug. and just wondering how much are the alcoholic beverages onboard roughly? Since there is so much talk on the boards about the smuggling :D of drink onboard i thought it might be interesting to find out how much a beer, bottle of wine etc costs. Thanks Garry
Voyagr Posted May 30, 2008 #2 Share Posted May 30, 2008 I remember $5 for mixed drinks and $6 for a glass of wine. Way too expensive for me so I have one or two drinks per week. Tom

Thanks Garry Can't help you with the beer but drinks probably average 7.00-9.00 (depending on the drink)... I never look anymore.....I usually drink Martinis before dinner and I know they are about 8.95 with 15% added on to the total. Daytime I am around the pool and have a mudslide. I think its about 6 bucks? Wine can vary...bottles start in the mid 20 range and go up to................. Glasses of wine run in the 7.00 range (I think) might be 8. There is probably someone on here with a liquor menu. Oh, every adult beverage has 15% added to the bill.
flashdog_1 Posted May 30, 2008 #4 Share Posted May 30, 2008 They'll have a drink of the day which will be a reduced price, enough to make it a B1G1.
omarchs Posted May 31, 2008 #5 Share Posted May 31, 2008 Just returned from the 11 day eastern med on the Galaxy yesterday. Beer was 4.25 domestic/4.75 imported. 4.50 for a big mug on tap at the pool. Mixed drinks were 5 for standard brands/6 for premium brands. Wine was 6-8 for regular vintages Daily specials were 5 for about 3 different drinks Martinis were in the 9-10 range Hope you don't drink tequila since the prices started at 6 for a brand I never heard and 8+ for regular tequila. This is good news since all these prices are less than we paid on Galaxy 10 months ago!
Trotsky00 Posted June 2, 2008 Author #8 Share Posted June 2, 2008 thanks again for all the replies. I assume these prices are in dollars?
IMNiles Posted June 2, 2008 #9 Share Posted June 2, 2008 thanks again for all the replies. I assume these prices are in dollars? All the prices onboard are in dollars. I don't have any evidence, but the prices "felt" a bit higher than when we sailed RCCL just a few months ago. I may be mistaken.
Rare Lois R Posted June 2, 2008 #10 Share Posted June 2, 2008 thanks again for all the replies. I assume these prices are in dollars? You are correct, but of course no cash is exchanged. Everything goes onto your onboard account.

In a pub here a cocktail could be up to 8 or 9 euro and a bottle or pint of beer would be 4.50 euro. So these prices look really good.
