Chigirlcruzin Posted June 5, 2008 #3 Share Posted June 5, 2008 You will be fine unless you miss the ship or have some sort of emergency where you have to leave the ship in St Martin.

jessemon Posted June 5, 2008 #6 Share Posted June 5, 2008 a birth certificate and a usa drivers license. i am goin on a cruise to st thomas and st martin? Shoulld something happen where you miss the ship in port or for some reason have to debark in on of those ports in one you'll be fine (St Thomas) in the other (St Maarten) not fine. To travel from a foriegn country back into the US a passport is needed. You will though if something like this be able to go to the American embassey and work it out. Lots of hassle. Get a passport and be done with it.....;)
zqvol Posted June 5, 2008 #7 Share Posted June 5, 2008 a birth certificate and a usa drivers license. i am goin on a cruise to st thomas and st martin? You do not need a passport or birth certificate to leave the ship at any of the ports of call in the Caribbean . At this time none of the islands have mentioned any change in their policy. the passport rules that people talk about only apply to the US. US citizens do not now, and will not in the future need a passport ot go to St. Thomas since it is a US territory.
zqvol Posted June 5, 2008 #8 Share Posted June 5, 2008 You are fine til 2009 http://www.travel.state.gov/travel/cbpmc/cbpmc_2223.html This is not correct. The rules mentioned only apply to the US and do not take into account the exception for cruisers.
