Anyone win over $1000 on slots?

My wife won over 1000.00 in 2007. She got to keep it all as we are Canadians. Why do you Americans have to pay Tax on a non US registered ship? in Open water.

My husband won $2500 on a quarter slot (2nd pull) on the CB. That's why we're sailing her again! :D

I just want you to know that I was one of the considerate people that filled the slot machines so you could win. I seem to do that on a regular basis:eek: Too bad I limit my gambling money to $20/day or you probaby would have won more...sorry......:D

Never had much luck with the slots on HAL ships, so I tend to measure success by the length of time I get to play for my $20....:rolleyes:

 

Roulette, though, is a different story - on our last three cruises (all HAL) I've walked off the ship over $1000 up on each occasion, still having started $20 per night. Yes - I know it's all luck, and that it could be different, but my modus operandi works FOR ME, so I stick to it. Still haven't ever won enough to pay off my final cruise tab though :(

I won $400 once and the other half has won about $300, that's it. :(

Like I said, I've never hit one on Princess, but on all the other lines I have hit over the amount and have never been given a misc. W-2 ever. So it might just be Princess?

Anyone else think that the machines pay off the best on the first night of a cruise? Our last 3 cruises I've won $1000 on the Wheel of Fortune machine on the first night. :D

Of course then we procede to lose it all on the rest of the nights. :(

Not over $1,000, but a cute story.

 

Our last cruise on Carnival, we went to the casino on the first night. Table low-limits were $3 instead of the normal $5. We sat down at 'Let It Ride' poker, never having played before. The dealer was very nice and expained it all to us. On the 3rd hand, my partner held on the first card, which I though odd as on the first two he pulled back money right away.

 

After the two community cards (both 10's) the dealer turns over partner's cards to show two MORE 10s. Partner says 'Do I get anything for four-of-a-kind?'. Dealer does a double take and has to call the pit boss over. $450 on a three dollar bet. Dealer said she had been on the ship for just over six months and had never dealt a four-of-a-kind before. Not a bad way to start the cruise, and we had no idea what we were doing.

But hit it big on NCL Sun. On a 7 day Alaska Cruise I hit the $1000 on the Wheel of fortune 5 times not to mention numerous other smaller wins. I came home with almost $6000 more then I went with. In April 2008 on the Carnival Liberty I won $1100 on the slots. It was a needed win.. Terrible up until that point.

Why is it that the good stuff happens late at night when there's no-one in the casino that you know to celebrate with?

On our Hawaii cruise on the Diamond in March, I was playing Deuces Wild VP. At 2 AM, I hit a REAL royal flush - - my first ever - - and the place was almost empty. So I did a little "Yippee" aloud, just for me.

It was great to finally have it happen after years of playing VP, but it would have been more fun to have a witness.
