25 Year old Princess Patters and Menus

I guess for me the most surprising thing is how much things haven't changed. You could almost put this schedule out today and it would look like a current cruise day.

ooops... did I say 25 year old... I guess they are 35 years old!! I'm still stuck in 1998!

 

The menus are from 1983 so it is 25 years, first poster said 1973 but it clearly shows 83 on the first page of the patters

One major difference from today.

 

Breakfast and lunch had early and late sittings, just like dinner.

Thanks for this post. My mother sailed on the old Island princess back in the 70's to alaska and after she died we found some of the menu's and princess patters. The menu's were absolutely beautiful; a work of art. The front of the menu's were copies of old paintings. They are a treasure to have.

I have menus from two Sitmar cruises we took in the early 70's, and they are like that with gorgeous impressionistic prints on the front. I did a parody of one once, tied with a shoelace, that had a photograph of a several car pileup on front. I called it Nightmare Cruises, and it had some pretty "interesting" food choices in it. I still have that, too.
