A rainbow in Antigua ...

I really like the color of the water here as the Costa Luminosa approached St. Maarten ...

Okay, this is not from the cruise ship, but rather it was taken while on the flight home. It is a view you don't often see ...

Great pictures David! Makes me want to do Venice next year instead of London! At this point, I may get kicked-off our roll call thread anyway! :o

Here are some of our Med cruise pics... at least one of these is a duplicate from another post.

The below picture was taken in Villefranche, France. We followed this elderly couple slowly walking down a side alley, holding hands, shirts matching the walls. I love everything about this photo...excep how blurry it is!

A surprise in our room one night...

Taken in Cozumel, September 2007, Ecstasy

It was like we were the only people on the island...

Was that at Punta Sur? Hubby and I had lunch there on our honeymoon 12 years ago, (Carnival Sensation Western Caribbean). It was one of the most perfect days ever, no one there except the staff. Fresh fish and conch for lunch. That brings back so many memories.

I can bet the conversation went like...

1. Bet you we can swim to that Island!

2. NO we Can't!

3. Sure We've got time.

4. What they gonna do...yell at us.

5 Com'on, we gotta try.

2. NO! We will get in big trouble.

4. No one will say anything.

1. It's only a couple hundred yards.

3. Half hour of swimming...tops.

5. I'm in, How bout you?

I can just see my boys in that shot and hear that conversation!! HAHA!

Wow, that is an amazing and moving picture.

It was an amazing experience. Carnival delayed our sailing time out of NYC for it. The ship left a lot later then normal and parked right off lower Manhatten. We stayed there until it got dark and looked at the memorial lights. They had a bagpipe player walking around on deck and we all had a moment of silence.

After awhile, the ship began to move on out and it was getting cold on deck. My partner and I left to go to our cabin. We walked out on our balcony and were hit with that scene. neither one of us said much. We just watched and remained silent until we were almost out of sight.

It was very moving and an experience I will never forget.

I will also never forget the lengths Carnival went through to make that happen. Our roll call had contacted John Heald and CCL corporate long before sailing to see if they could delay our departure. We didn't expect much. To our surprise they jumped on it and many Carnival corporation people jumped into our roll call to keep us informed on how it was proceeding. John Heald did a lot as well. It was an incredible effort on everyone's part.

LMAO! Oddly enough, 3 of the guys were in their teens then, 2 in their early 20's. It was by far their favorite day and there was nothing there to "entertain" them. Lots of wrestling and playing with a deflated soccer ball they found. By far one of my all time favorite beaches in the world!

I keep this picture framed in my exercise room to motivate me :)

And this is a little of what they did the rest of the time!

Memories for a lifetime. They will tell their kid's kids about that day. Great pic!
