Wow! Don't think I'd want the cabin steward going through my undie drawer which is where I would keep a night gown (If I wore one;)) looking for one to use.

Look at the photos by the pool -- EVERYONE was slimmer. I can't blame it all on cruising, LOL, (because I do gain weight on cruises).

I'm still trying to find the pictures of the main lounge, casino, and hallways. Overall, the Mardi Gras (as I remember her) was a beautiful ship with lots of woods and elegant craftsmanship in her original decor.

 

Thanks for the photo memories as I sailed on her back than also. I'm sure your wife turned many heads on that cruise.;)

A repost of a picture earlier in this thread...my wife and I aboard the Mardi Gras (Carnival's very first ship) in 1984...

 

 

...and 31 years later on the Carnival Miracle headed to Hawaii in January 2015...
