oliviaonthe beach Posted July 26, 2008 #1 Share Posted July 26, 2008 Okay, I have tried to "beat around the bush" and search the forum to find the answer to my question. No luck, so I have to be honest. Last summer on a mother/daughter cruise 3 night cruise, the two Moms (I was one of them) got a little tipsy in one of the lounges while the 18 year old girls were off somewhere. Apparently, we talked each other into booking a future cruise. Well, I know I paid the deposit with my seapass account but I don't really know what the entire benefit is in doing this. I have already booked another cruise for December (4 nights) and paid it off. Will I be receiving some sort of on board credits that I should remember hearing about? If so, should I see that reflected in my reservation? Thanks. Yes, there is a moral to this story for me. Mojitos are much stronger than light beers! We'll call it "BUI": booking under the influence! crusinmama06 Posted July 26, 2008 #2 Share Posted July 26, 2008 I have NO idea but I just had to say this is the funniest booking story I have ever read! Maybe they should have made you walk a straight line before they accepted your deposit. LMBO!!!!! :D :D :D Bless your heart! I love your honesty. I know someone here will know. SANDY823 Posted July 26, 2008 #3 Share Posted July 26, 2008 BUI -- Thats a good one.. For your December cruise - that all depends on how you booked on board .. Did you do a Next cruise booking, or did you book your December cruise with ship and date? If you picked your ship and date for Dec and paid the full deposit on board -then you will get the appropriate on board credit -and should have received a booking number while on board. If you can't find this, you should be able to log onto your account on RCCL.com, or call RCCL and get your information. If you booked a Next cruise, and then booked your December cruise separately -thats a different story. Next cruise bookings are used for future cruises that you may not have decided on when/where/how yet, but when you do, you need to use that booking #. So, the first thing you need to do, is find out how you booked on board... Hope that helps ! Sandy
oliviaonthe beach Posted July 26, 2008 Author #4 Share Posted July 26, 2008 For all future BUI-ers: I called RCCL and actually was able to get the answer to my question. It was a NextCruise future deposit. It was applied to my upcoming cruise and I will receive a $50 OBC. I wonder how many mojitos $50 will buy... Oops, forgot DH will be with me to prevent BUI! susanbratwurst Posted July 26, 2008 #7 Share Posted July 26, 2008 I just had to chime in cause this is something I would do. My only comment is...this is why Las Vegas casinos give out free drinks. I think that the cruiselines are missing out on a revenue opportunity. Have the future cruise booking person wandering around the ship at 1:00am with his/her clipboard and forms!
