Helsinki on a Sunday?

I am stopping in Helsinki on a Sunday (via Carnival Splendor 9/7/08). I am worried that most of the stores, restaurants and attractions will be closed. Any suggestions?

We were in Helsinki on a Sunday last summer. Everything was open except the open air market which was partially open.

We enjoyed strolling through the markets and also the canal cruise. We followed HeinBloed's suggestion of taking Sunliner Canal cruises and were pleased we did as their boats are lower so can get under more bridges. After 2 very interesting but exhausting days in St Petersburg, our family thoroughly enjoyed our relaxing day in Helsinki. Hope you do too.

There is an English language service at the Rock Church, I believe at 2 pm. I would have loved to have attended this had we been there on a Sunday.
