ETHS1965 Posted July 31, 2008 #1 Share Posted July 31, 2008 We have twin five year olds and we are considering a cruise. I have looked at both carnival and disney. We are considering carnival legends. What type of activities are in the camps? Do they take the kids swimming, etc.
mcfam5 Posted July 31, 2008 #2 Share Posted July 31, 2008 The age bracket your kids would be in for Camp Carnival would be the 2-5 year olds. Here's an idea of some of the available activities: Painting, water activities, dress up dinner, tee shirt coloring, parachute games, bubble dancing, memory books, Teddy bear workshop, talent show, edible jewelry, candy bingo, movies, tumble time, musical chairs, face painting, mini-olympics, treasure hunts, obstacle course, sing-a-longs, story times, Fun Ship Freddy Hunt and more. Camp Carnival opens in the morning from between 8:00 and 10:00 am depending on the day/port. It closes for about an hour a day to prepare for lunch and a few other times throughout the week to prepare for talent show or family activity time. Camp Carnival is free until 10:00 p.m. "Slumber Parties" are offered from 10:00 pm until 3:00 am with fees of $6.00 per hour for first child and $4.00 per hour for each additional sibling. Hope this info helps and that your family enjoys your cruise!
pe4all Posted July 31, 2008 #3 Share Posted July 31, 2008 There are also some "family" activities - ice cream parties, disco, etc. There is a cute little show the camp puts on towards the last day of the cruise.
