We had 2 cruises booked prior to the sale.

Contacted my PCC at NCL regarding the first cruise. Found out that the "sale" could be applied but it turned out that it would reprice at a total of $300+ extra just to get $50 OBC.:o We had booked under the 1st person at full rate, 2nd person 1/2 price, so we kept the booking as is.

Contacted my TA about the 2nd cruise (next June 2009 Jade 12 nighter). Got an email back that my cruise didn't qualify. However, I reread NCL's website and it says all sailings on all ships during the qualifying period. TA tried again, got an upgrade from BD gty to BB assigned cabin as well as a $75 OBC.

So you just never know.....

I was checking out the NCL PROMO (Through August 17) and it's up to a 3 catagory upgrade and up to $400 per stateroom credit. You could book a cruise to be taken in a time period in 2008 to 2010. I was wondering if anyone booked and what did you end up with? I noticed only certain catagories got upgrades. Just wondering if you got a decent deal.

Thanks,

Sandy

Booked the Sun 2009 (14 day) S. America, second passenger US1456 for a BA balcony.

We already have our cruise booked for Dec. But I called NCL yesterday and asked if it applied to our cruise. She gave us the lower rate, plus $25 OBC. Only saved us $80 on the room, but every little bit helps. We have until end of September to pay in full. So I working to get "every little bit helps" I can until then. Come on more sales!! :)

I just reserved our 2010 President's Week sailing, this time to the Mexican Riviera.

We got a BD-BA upgrade along with $50 OBC per cabin. We booked both deck 10 BA Aft cabins (10730 & 10230) on the Star at a rate of $949pp plus port/taxes and the fuel surcharge.

I was going to inquire about our 2009 President's Week sailing on the Dawn, but the rates are more now than what I booked for originally (particularly since I booked before the fuel surcharges kicked in).

Called NCL, of course I was wishing on a dream, but never know. We have the Star booked for 9/27/08, and it is paid in full so we got nothing, but hey I didnt expect to so I am not dissapointed, just letting others know how it went with me

Just got an OBC (based on category) for our CC Group going to Bermuda! :D :) ;)

Anyone else take advantage of the current promotion? I think it runs until August 17. If you're interested in joining our CC Group, you may still be eligible!;) See the links below for more information. Good luck!:)

we booked an inside cabin back in November for the 2009 Repo cruise.

When I saw the NCL promo, I had just sent an e-mail confirming our final balance. 2 days later I sent an e-mail about the promo -- could we be eligible for a price adj, category upgrade, and/or OBC?

While small, we were successful in getting a price adjustment (on an already low price) and a teensy OBC.

I also asked the TA if we would be eligible for adjustments, upgrades after Final payment. He said we would be!

Good luck

Nancy

Sandy,

We did book with the special. We booked on the NCL Gem in Jan 2010. I think that the room upgrade is a good deal but the ship credit isn't really worth it. I think that between my Fiance and I we only got a $25 shipboard credit. But the catagory up grade was worth it. Instead of being on Deck 4 or 5 we are on Deck 10. I don't like being on the lower decks so it worked out for us.

I just booked 2 cruises last week. Both are on the Dawn. 1 is May 10th in a Mini Suite and the other is Oct 25th in a AE Penthouse. How do i find out if i qualify for my bookings? Thanks for any replies :)

hmm...see i booked w/ the Casino 17% discount.... Any chance I can get anything?

I tried getting a reduction in price or OBC and CAS wouldn't do either. I guess they think we're getting a good deal already! I even tried through the supervisor. No extra good deals here, but I'am still happy with original booking price.

Hi OceanDreaming2...I was trying to get some information on your Hawaiian Beach wedding. Did you use Mrs Minister? How did everything go? I am planning an Ohau wedding in December 2008. Thanks so much!

Sorry, I didn't see your post til now - 8/26. Shame on me!

Yes we used MrsMinister. She did a fantastic job - we were married on the beach in Honolulu.

I booked this promotion with an online agency. I opted not to take the upgrade because it would mean being under the pool deck and I prefer cabins above and below me. I still got a great deal and we got a $75 obc.

I am wondering tho on how I know the obc is there? Do you get a confirmation or just check with NCL?

Our online TA sent us an email with the OBC shown in the letter, but told us that NCL will not show it until after our final payment is made.
