most of the bars and casino allow smoking, upstairs on the pool deck..one side is smoking , the other is NON...

i don't think you will have a problem, also outside of the dining room there is a deck where you can go and smoke after dinner...

I am a non smoker, but was with smokers on the Explorer...

I believe it is the starboard side of Deck 4 (outside under the lifeboats) that smoking is allowed. (that would be close to the dining rooms on the aft side and the theater on the forward end.)

 

I don't seem to remember too much smoke smell in the bars and lounges but I do remember thinking how the casino seemed very smoke free.

You may smoke on any balcony, despite the side of the ship. You can't smoke in the cabin (and why would you want to!)

My group that I plan to cruise with is a group of smokers and non-smokers, I wouldn't smoke in my cabin, even if it was permitted. However, when I have a "cocktail" that's when I like a cigarette, that's why I was curious if there were restrictions in the bar and lounges. Thanks so much for the info.
